Synopsis
[edit]Gabriela Suárez, a theater student and cheerleader for a basketball team begins a job at a carwash in order to help out her family - her father has just died and she is the eldest of her siblings. The carwash is owned by a famous businessman, Tito Clemente, who will meet Gabriela and have a short but passionate affair with her. Gabriela, however, is falsely accused of drug trafficking and ends up in jail, with a year sentence. Tito abandons her due to her bad luck, choosing to ignore the fact that she is expecting his child. Rina is a poor girl who lives in a slum with her alcoholic father, her troubled sister, her delinquent brother and an 8-year-old brother who goes to school. The story begins with Rina's sister finding a purse full of bills at the door of a theater. The owner of the purse shows up and Bettina is locked up in a juvenile reformatory accused of being a thief. Rina has a hard time getting her little sister out of the reformatory and in reality she doesn't succeed, but she helps her escape.
