Joining The Jim Cullum Jazz Band to pay tribute to this almost-forgotten legend are piano master Dick Hyman and William Warfield, a star of theater and film. Dick Hyman first met and performed with James P. in Greenwich Village in the s; Hyman went on to study and perform Johnson’s work for decades.
